“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists” ~ Nikola Tesla.
I’ve been developing my intuition using divination methods since the age of 14, and my present focus is on using the cards. Without dismissing the value of intelligence, I understood the frustrating limits of intelligence and willpower alone in making sense of life and finding the best path. While growing up, I encountered gifted, intelligent individuals who made terrible choices, so I explored intuition and divination early on as a guiding light. Divination and the cards provided a framework for my intuition to flourish and develop, but I also relied on intuition alone for long spells. People say I have calming, healing influence on them, and report that ‘the penny drops’ with new insights during conversations. Also that I inspire and motivate them by dissolving doubts and old ideas which were holding them back or blocking them from seeing hidden truths in the situation. People come to me with their thoughts and emotions in a tangle, and then by the end of the conversation they are becalmed, and the confusion or muddle seems to have gone. I am a spiritual eclectic collecting wisdom from many sources. I believe in the power of doing the next right thing, and cultivating a constructive mental, emotional and energetic climate which benefits others and myself in a delightful synergy. ‘Be as gentle as doves, but as wise as serpents’ as the saying goes. Readings provide an opportunity for new insight and transformation. They are a powerful tool in self-development and navigating paths through life, or making sense of things which would otherwise be intractable using intelligence and reasoning alone. They provide missing informational jigsaw pieces that can put serious concerns and preoccupations to rest. Circular worries cause mental and emotional distress, so I see the cards as intensely practical as they provide an outlet for knowledge which is often impossible to get via conventional means.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
Providing missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle and bringing others to a place of stillness and peace with that situation. Reducing the emotional pressure that has built up. Watching the confusion drop away to reveal something much more simple and non-threatening than feared. Readings are a form of meditation for me, as they provide an opportunity for focus and immersion 'in the zone' which unclutters my mind. Performing something well that benefits others is always a pleasure.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I’m a slightly boisterous, optimistic, can-do Sagittarius, who loves to talk and talks to everyone. I can be an icebreaker in social groups, getting other people to open up and build valuable networks of friendship and support. I have an inclusive social outlook and so the maxim 'Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet' makes a great deal of sense to me.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I started having powerful dreams at a young age which changed the way I looked at the world. I instinctively knew this information would not be easy to broach with others, but I also knew that the answers were out there if I was willing to look for them, which I was.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
A powerful emotional transformation within a short timeframe. On one occasion a lady I had not spoken to before spontaneously confided a painful and overwhelming part of her life. It was as if I were watching a performance car careering down a mountain road, travelling from 110mph to stopped in what seemed like no time at all. It transpired during the call that she had consulted various therapists over many years, none of which raised the points we discussed. We were both taken aback by how fast things changed for her. Neither of us could quite fathom what happened by the end of the call. It was the strangest thing.. like the journey from the outside of the tornado to the centre of the tornado where there is complete stillness. She went back to her therapist with the new information, and she still contacts me from time to time to once again express her gratitude for our one and only conversation.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
My love of books, learning and research means I am always exposed to fresh ideas, and that my understanding never stops evolving and growing. I have a strong, continuing interest in relationship, family and childhood dynamics. These interrelate and forge repeated patterns in adulthood. Many subtle aspects come into play in relationships, so I keep informed in those areas, and this additional information combine with intuition and the cards into a valuable blend of insight and interpretation in readings.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Life is much more complex than the rules we invent to make sense of it, so I do not subscribe to the idea that a set of rules or guidelines could or will apply in every case, however some rules of common sense can apply. 'Try it and see' is how I figure things out.. Try to be open to the conversation evolving in new directions. Allow yourself some mental and emotional lag time before the information you receive settles. New information can be a little bit bumpy to the psyche. Like a game of Tetris new information does slide into uniformity, but feels bumpy and strange to begin with. Give yourself time to digest what you have heard. Try to be self-aware of the gravitational pull towards the answer you want to hear, as opposed to the answer you receive. We all have a gravitational pull towards a particular interpretation, so this is nothing to be concerned about. Allow the experience to tell you if it has helped. Once you get to know a reader it is easier to take the plunge and call them, but it can seem intimidating beforehand. So just try it and see. It will make sense in the call, one way or another. Thank you for taking the time to read through this, and if I have left something out, or you have questions please do not hesitate to ask. And in the meantime I look forward to hearing from you when you phone.
